We have made some changes to our open-source machine monitoring tool! With a better look and enhanced features, OpenMachineMonitoring continues to offer SME manufacturers an easy and cost-effective entry-point to digital transformation.
TL;DR
The latest update to Open Machine Monitoring brings several major improvements:
- Completely redesigned user interface (including dark mode!)
- Users can now add downtime events explaining periods of machine inactivity
- Downtime logs and breakdown of unplanned vs. planned downtime
Give it a try today and see how it can help your operations.
Redesigned User Interface

The new user interface (dark mode)
The UI has been completely redesigned with a new menu and better data visualisations.
Perhaps most importantly, we have also added a dark mode!
New Features

The new timeline view

The new downtime logs page

The new downtime stats page
Here are the new features we have added:
- Downtime Events: on the timeline view you can now create events on periods of inactivity explaining why the machine is not running.
- Downtime Log: a new page where you can see a list of all downtime events recorded in the system. You can filter this list by asset, time, and downtime type (unplanned or planned). You can also export the data to a CSV file.
- Downtime Stats: another new page that shows you a breakdown of unplanned and planned downtime events for each machine.
- Day Definition: you can now set times for the start of the day and the end of the day. This makes for more realistic uptime figures.
Getting Started
Where OpenMachineMonitoring has not changed is in providing you with an easy and cost-effective entry-point to testing out digital technologies.
Something else that hasn't changed is how easy it is to get started! Check out the getting started guide in the repo for more information.
